lesson 1 Workspace
This Lesson is all about getting your Photoshop workspace set up for maximum performance. We remove the unnecessary clutter and create a template that can be used over and over again for each use.
Lesson 2 Document Settings
In this lesson, I talk about the dimensions I use to create the Design Board document. You learn some quick navigational shortcuts on zooming in and out and how to pan around the interface making your digital workspace look and feel like our actual desk.
Lesson 3 One-point Perspective
Perspective is an important part of a well-done design board. That being said, this lesson focuses on making perspective easy. We create a perspective guide that can be used over and over again for each project.
Lesson 4 Creating the back wall
Now that we have completed the set up its time to start building the room. In this lesson, you will learn how to create a simple back wall, and how to apply any color to it.
lesson 5 Adding a Floor and Ceiling
In this lesson, we go further with building the room by adding a floor texture and a ceiling. you learn how to align the texture of the floor to the perspective guide (created in Lesson 3). This results in a very realistic and professional looking floor that can be customized to any client.
lesson 6 Adding Wall Trim
A wall isn’t complete without trim, so in this lesson, you will learn how to add custom trim to any wall that can be used to further personalize your client’s space.
lesson 7 Adding Architectural detail (ex. door)
Knowing how to add architectural detail to your design board is critical for a successful end result. Adding windows and doors allows light to come into your design and gives accurate scale to the space. These details allow you and your client to visualize the end result which is why we focus on learning how to add these details in this lesson.
lesson 8 Furniture part 1
Now for the fun part, working with product images is an essential part of the interior design board process. In this lesson, I show you how to incorporate product images into your design board.
in this lesson, you will learn how to achieve realistic furniture scale, how to accurately align images in perspective and how to remove white backgrounds from your product images so they seamlessly integrate with the environment.
lesson 9 Furniture part 2
We dive further into product images and you learn how to add custom objects like lamps, tables, paintings, and plants. The techniques you learn in this lesson carry over across any future product images you come across. Giving your tools set that will stick wth you for years to come.
lesson 10 Lighting basics
in this lesson, I conclude the course by teaching you how to add some global environmental shadows that help to draw your viewer’s eye to key aspects and areas of your design. you learn final techniques on how to make presentable design boards that look great in a portfolio.
